Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, screwdrivers, OBD-II scanner, vacuum gauge.
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the engine is off before starting work.
2. Inspect and Repair Vacuum Lines
  • Locate the brake booster vacuum line connected to the engine.
  • Inspect for cracks or disconnections. If damaged, replace the vacuum line with a new one.
  • Reconnect the vacuum line securely to the brake booster.
3. Replace Brake Booster (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, brake fluid.
  • Disconnect the battery to eliminate any electrical hazards.
  • Remove the master cylinder from the brake booster by unbolting it and separating it carefully.
  • Unplug any electrical connectors attached to the brake booster.
  • Remove the mounting bolts securing the brake booster and take out the booster.
  • Install the new brake booster by reversing the removal steps, ensuring it is properly secured and all connections are tight.
  • Refill the brake fluid reservoir as needed and bleed the brake system to remove any air bubbles.
