Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and inside of the throttle body.
  • Reassemble the air intake duct and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake system.
  • Carefully remove the sensor connector and the sensor itself.
  • Use MAF sensor cleaner to spray and gently clean the sensing elements.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the connector.
4. Check Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
  • Remove any necessary paneling to access the accelerator pedal assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
  • Use a multimeter to test the resistance of the sensor while pressing the pedal. Compare the readings with manufacturer specifications.
  • If faulty, replace the sensor.
5. Transmission Fluid Check
  • Locate the transmission dipstick and withdraw it.
  • Check the fluid level and condition; it should be red and clear.
  • If low, add the appropriate transmission fluid as specified in the owner’s manual.
  • If dirty, consider a transmission fluid change.
