Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before working on the cooling system.
2. Check Coolant Level
  • Locate the coolant reservoir and remove the cap.
  • Inspect the coolant level; if low, top off with a 50/50 mixture of distilled water and antifreeze.
  • Start the engine and let it run until it reaches operating temperature, then check the level again.
3. Inspect Heater Core
  • Remove the dashboard panel covering the heater core.
  • Disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses from the heater core using a socket set.
  • Flush the heater core with a garden hose to remove any blockages.
  • If leaks are found, replace the heater core.
4. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove box and remove it to access the cabin air filter.
  • Take out the old filter and clean the housing area.
  • Install the new cabin air filter, ensuring proper orientation.
5. Replace Thermostat (if necessary)
  • Drain the engine coolant from the radiator.
  • Remove the thermostat housing using a socket set.
  • Take out the old thermostat and replace it with a new one.
  • Reassemble the thermostat housing and refill the coolant.
