Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, fuel pressure gauge, OBD-II scanner, multimeter, injector puller tool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Remove any bolts securing the engine cover using a socket wrench.
  • Gently lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Disconnect Fuel Lines
  • Use a fuel line removal tool to disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail.
  • Be cautious of any residual fuel; use a rag to catch spills.
4. Remove Electrical Connectors
  • Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Use a multimeter to check for continuity on each wiring harness.
5. Remove Fuel Rail and Injectors
  • Unbolt the fuel rail from the intake manifold using a socket wrench.
  • Gently pull the fuel rail with the injectors attached away from the engine.
  • If injectors are stuck, use an injector puller tool to remove them from the rail.
6. Install New Injectors
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new injectors with clean engine oil.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail until they click into place.
  • Reinstall the fuel rail with new injectors back onto the intake manifold and secure it with bolts.
7. Reconnect Electrical Connectors and Fuel Lines
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each fuel injector.
  • Reattach the fuel lines securely to the fuel rail.
8. Reinstall Engine Cover and Reconnect Battery
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with bolts.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
9. Final Checks
  • Turn the ignition to the ON position (without starting) to prime the fuel system.
  • Check for any fuel leaks around the injectors and fuel rail.
