Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • If applicable, remove the engine cover by unscrewing any bolts or clips using a socket set.
  • Carefully place the cover aside.
3. Disconnect Fuel Lines
  • Use a line wrench to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. Be prepared for some fuel spillage; use rags to absorb any spills.
  • Remove the plastic clips securing the fuel injectors to the fuel rail.
4. Remove Fuel Injectors
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold using a socket set.
  • Gently pull the fuel rail away from the intake manifold. The injectors should come out with the rail.
  • Carefully remove the injectors from the fuel rail by twisting them back and forth, ensuring not to damage O-rings.
5. Install New Fuel Injectors
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new fuel injectors with clean engine oil.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail until they click into place.
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the intake manifold, ensuring injectors are correctly seated.
6. Reconnect Fuel Lines
  • Reconnect the fuel line to the fuel rail and secure with the plastic clips.
  • Replace any clips or brackets removed during disassembly.
7. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Position the engine cover back on and secure it with the bolts or clips.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the battery terminals and ensure they are tight.
