Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (CR2032 or as specified).
  • Work in a clean, well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Using a small flat-head screwdriver or a key fob opening tool, carefully insert it into the seam of the key fob.
  • Gently twist the screwdriver to separate the two halves of the fob. Take care not to damage the plastic casing.
3. Remove Old Battery
  • Locate the battery inside the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (which side is positive).
  • Use the screwdriver to gently pry the old battery out from its compartment.
4. Install New Battery
  • Take the new battery, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Press the new battery securely into the compartment until it fits snugly.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob.
  • Press them together firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and test the key fob's functionality (lock/unlock doors).
  • If it works correctly, the battery replacement is complete.
