Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver and a replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area to see the key fob components clearly.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot on the side of the key fob.
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob at the slot.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob, taking care not to damage the casing.
3. Remove and Replace the Battery
  • Identify the old battery in the key fob and note its orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Using the flathead screwdriver, gently lift and remove the old battery from its compartment.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring the positive side (+) is facing up.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press down firmly but gently until the halves snap back into place.
  • Ensure that all edges are flush and the casing is secure.
5. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand within range of the vehicle and test the key fob buttons to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make sure the lock and unlock functions work smoothly.
