Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, CR2032 or CR2025 battery.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe area and the ignition is off.
2. Battery Replacement
  1. Open the Key Fob:

    • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the key fob casing at the seam.
    • Take care not to damage the casing.
  2. Remove the Old Battery:

    • Note the orientation of the old battery (positive and negative sides).
    • Carefully remove the old battery from its compartment.
  3. Install New Battery:

    • Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
    • Ensure it fits snugly in place.
3. Reassemble Key Fob
  1. Close the Fob:
    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap back into place securely.
4. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
    • Press the lock button on the new key fob within 5 seconds.
  2. Test the Key Fob:

    • Turn the ignition back to "OFF" and remove the key.
    • Test the fob functions (lock/unlock) to ensure successful programming.
