Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface.
  • Turn off the engine and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  • Gather necessary tools: a clean lint-free cloth or paper towel.
2. Locate and Remove the Dipstick
  • Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod.
  • Identify the dipstick, typically located near the engine block.
  • Pull the dipstick out of the tube carefully.
3. Check and Clean the Dipstick
  • Wipe the dipstick with the lint-free cloth or paper towel to remove any oil.
  • Reinsert the dipstick back into the tube fully to ensure an accurate reading.
4. Read the Oil Level
  • Remove the dipstick again and hold it horizontally.
  • Inspect the oil level; it should be between the “full” and “add” marks.
  • If the oil level is below the "add" mark, oil needs to be added.
5. Add Oil if Necessary
  • If oil is needed, locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine.
  • Remove the cap and use a funnel to pour the correct type of oil (usually 5W-20 for Honda Accord).
  • Add oil gradually, checking the dipstick frequently until the desired level is reached.
  • Replace the oil filler cap securely.
