Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the engine cover (if applicable) using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the ignition coils from the spark plugs.
  • Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
  • Inspect the spark plug gap and replace with new plugs if worn (Use NGK or Denso as per OEM specifications).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils and engine cover.
3. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a screwdriver.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body while opening the throttle plate manually.
  • Wipe any carbon buildup with a clean cloth.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
4. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if applicable)
  • Locate the fuel filter (consult the service manual for specific location).
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines (be cautious of fuel spray).
  • Replace the old fuel filter with a new one, ensuring correct orientation.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and fuse; check for leaks.
5. Inspect and Top Off Transmission Fluid
  • Check the transmission fluid level with the dipstick (if applicable) while the engine is running.
  • If low, add the manufacturer-recommended transmission fluid to the proper level.
  • If the fluid is dark or burnt, consider a transmission fluid change.
