1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the ignition is off.
  • Gather necessary tools and replacement parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
2. Battery Replacement
  • Tools Required: Wrench set, battery terminal cleaner.
  • Remove the battery hold-down bracket using a wrench.
  • Disconnect the positive terminal followed by the negative terminal.
  • Carefully lift the battery out of the tray.
  • Clean the battery tray and terminals using a battery terminal cleaner.
  • Place the new battery in the tray, reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal.
  • Reinstall the battery hold-down bracket.
