Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to ensure safety.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
2. Check and Replace Fuses/Relays
  • Locate the fuse box and identify the AC fuse.
  • Remove the AC fuse and check for continuity with a multimeter. Replace if blown.
  • Check the AC relay for function by swapping it with a similar relay (if applicable) or testing it with a multimeter. Replace if faulty.
3. Inspect and Recharge Refrigerant
  • Connect the refrigerant gauge set to the service ports (low and high side).
  • If the pressure is low, locate the refrigerant fill port on the low-pressure side.
  • Use a refrigerant can with a hose and fill until the proper pressure is reached (refer to the vehicle manual for specifications).
  • Monitor for any signs of leaks during the charging process.
4. Replace AC Compressor (if necessary)
  • If the compressor is found to be faulty, remove the drive belt.
  • Disconnect electrical connections and refrigerant lines (ensure refrigerant is recovered properly).
  • Remove mounting bolts and take out the old compressor.
  • Install the new compressor and reconnect all lines and electrical connections.
  • Reinstall the drive belt and ensure proper tension.
5. Test the System
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and turn on the AC to maximum setting.
  • Monitor the system for cold air and check for any unusual noises or leaks.
