Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  2. Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body while manually opening the throttle plate to clean both sides.
  3. Wipe the throttle body with a clean cloth.
  4. Reattach the air intake duct, ensuring it is secured properly.
3. Replace Spark Plugs
  1. Remove the ignition coil cover by unscrewing it.
  2. Disconnect the ignition coils and remove them using a socket wrench.
  3. Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
  4. Check the gap on the new spark plugs using a feeler gauge and adjust as necessary.
  5. Install the new spark plugs and reattach the ignition coils.
  6. Reinstall the ignition coil cover.
4. Test and Clean MAF Sensor
  1. Disconnect the MAF sensor connector.
  2. Remove the MAF sensor from the air intake duct.
  3. Spray MAF cleaner onto the sensor wires and allow it to dry completely.
  4. Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
