Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), and a key fob programming guide (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry apart the key fob casing along the designated seam.
  • Take care not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob compartment.
  • Insert the new battery (CR2032) with the positive side (+) facing up.
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in the compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press the casing firmly until it clicks back together, ensuring it is sealed properly.
5. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and press the unlock button to check if the locks respond.
  • If the fob is still unresponsive, proceed to the reprogramming step.
6. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Within five seconds, turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  • Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the fob while inserting the key back into the ignition and turning it to "ON" again.
  • Release the "Unlock" button after the locks cycle, indicating successful programming.
