Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools:
    • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • OBD-II scanner (optional, for diagnostics)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked with the ignition turned off.
  • Disconnect the battery negative terminal to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Inspect the Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box:
    • The fuse box is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the engine compartment.
  • Remove the cover and identify the radio fuse (refer to the diagram on the fuse box cover).
  • Use a fuse puller or flathead screwdriver to remove the fuse and inspect it for continuity.
  • Replace the fuse if it appears blown, using the same amperage rating.
3. Check Wiring Connections
  • Reconnect the battery terminal and turn on the ignition.
  • If the radio still does not work, proceed to remove the radio:
    • Using a trim removal tool, carefully pry off the surrounding trim panel to access the radio.
    • Unscrew any screws securing the radio in place.
    • Gently pull the radio out from the dashboard.
  • Inspect the wiring harness connected to the back of the radio for any loose connections or damaged wires.
  • Securely reconnect the harness and ensure all connections are tight.
4. Perform a Hard Reset
  • With the radio still removed, locate the reset button (if present) on the back of the unit.
  • Press and hold the reset button for approximately 10 seconds.
  • Reinstall the radio back into the dashboard and secure it with screws.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reattach the trim panel around the radio.
  • Reconnect the battery terminal.
  • Turn on the vehicle and check if the radio powers on.
