Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Lint-free cloth, funnel (if adding fluid), appropriate transmission fluid.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and has warmed up to normal operating temperature.
2. Checking the Fluid Level
  1. Locate the Dipstick:

    • Open the hood and identify the transmission dipstick, which is usually marked with a bright handle.
  2. Remove and Clean the Dipstick:

    • Pull the dipstick out of the tube carefully.
    • Wipe the dipstick with a lint-free cloth to remove any fluid.
  3. Reinsert and Check Fluid Level:

    • Insert the dipstick back into the tube fully.
    • Remove it again and observe the fluid level on the dipstick.
    • The level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks, indicating proper fluid level.
  4. Add Fluid if Necessary:

    • If the fluid level is below the "Add" mark, use a funnel to add the recommended transmission fluid through the dipstick tube.
    • Add fluid incrementally and recheck the level with the dipstick until it reaches the desired level.
3. Recheck and Clean Up
  • Reinsert the dipstick securely and close the hood of the vehicle.
  • Clean any spilled fluid and ensure no tools are left in the engine bay.
