Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • OBD-II scanner
    • Socket set
    • Fluid catch pan
    • Clean rags
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
2. Check and Adjust Fluid Level
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Locate the transmission dipstick, usually marked with a bright color.
    2. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.
    3. Reinsert the dipstick fully and remove it again to check the fluid level.
    4. If low, add the manufacturer-recommended transmission fluid slowly through the dipstick tube until the proper level is reached.
3. Change Transmission Fluid (if required)
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Raise the vehicle securely using jack stands.
    2. Place a fluid catch pan under the transmission pan.
    3. Remove the transmission pan bolts with a socket set and carefully lower the pan.
    4. Allow the old fluid to drain completely and replace the filter if applicable.
    5. Clean the pan and replace the gasket if necessary.
    6. Reinstall the pan and torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
    7. Refill with new transmission fluid through the dipstick tube.
