Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: socket set, multimeter, wire brush, cleaning solution, microfiber cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface with the ignition off.
  • Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Replace Bulbs
  • Remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing any screws and pulling out any clips.
  • Disconnect the headlight connector from the back of the bulb.
  • Remove the old bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
  • Insert the new bulb (make sure to avoid touching the glass) by reversing the removal process.
  • Reconnect the headlight connector and reassemble the headlight assembly.
3. Clean Headlight Lens
  • Apply a headlight restoration kit or a mixture of baking soda and water to the hazy lens.
  • Use a microfiber cloth to scrub the lens in a circular motion.
  • Rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth to clear residue.
4. Check Electrical Connections
  • Inspect the headlight connectors for corrosion; clean with a wire brush if needed.
  • Ensure the wires are securely connected and are not frayed or damaged.
  • Reconnect any loose or corroded ground wires to ensure a good electrical path.
5. Test Battery and Alternator
  • Reconnect the battery and start the vehicle.
  • Use a multimeter to measure battery voltage; it should read above 12.6V.
  • Start the engine and measure voltage again; it should read between 13.7V and 14.7V to confirm proper alternator function.
