Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Ensure the engine is cool before starting work.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, clean rags, screwdriver.
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a clean rag and wipe the throttle body interior.
  • Open the throttle plate manually to clean the back side.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace Spark Plugs (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Spark plug socket, ratchet wrench, torque wrench.
  • Remove the ignition coils by unbolting them and disconnecting the electrical connectors.
  • Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
  • Inspect the old plugs for wear and replace them with new ones, ensuring to use the correct gap specifications.
  • Reinstall the ignition coils.
4. Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter (if clogged)
  • Tools Required: Fuel line disconnect tool, wrench set, container for fuel spillage.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  • Locate the fuel filter, disconnect the fuel lines using the fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Remove the old filter and install the new one, ensuring correct orientation.
  • Reconnect fuel lines and install the fuse back to the fuel pump.
