Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), and a multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and parked.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob case.
  • Carefully separate the two halves, ensuring not to damage any internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery by noting its orientation (positive side up).
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation.
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in the compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the fob and press them together until they click back into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the halves, indicating a secure closure.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob for 1 second, then turn the ignition off.
  • Repeat this process twice more (total of three times) to complete the reprogramming.
