Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), and a multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Open Key Fob
  • Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing.
  • Take care not to damage any internal components during this process.
3. Replace Battery
  • Remove the old battery and note the orientation of the positive and negative sides.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly in its compartment.
4. Reassemble Key Fob
  • Snap the key fob casing back together securely, ensuring all clips are engaged.
  • Test the key fob buttons to check if it’s functioning.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Within 10 seconds, turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  • Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for about 5 seconds while inserting the key back into the ignition.
  • Turn the ignition to "ON" again and then back to "OFF" to complete the programming.
