Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: tire pressure gauge, air compressor or tire inflator, and user manual for reference.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on level ground and the engine is turned off.
2. Adjust Tire Pressures
  • Sub-step 1: Remove the valve caps from each tire.
  • Sub-step 2: Use the tire pressure gauge to measure the current pressure of each tire.
  • Sub-step 3: If tire pressure is low, use the air compressor to inflate the tire to the recommended pressure. If it’s too high, release some air until it reaches the correct level.
3. Reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Sub-step 1: Start the engine of the vehicle.
  • Sub-step 2: Locate the TPMS reset button, which is usually found under the dashboard near the steering column or on the center console.
  • Sub-step 3: Press and hold the TPMS reset button until the tire pressure warning light blinks three times, then release the button.
  • Sub-step 4: Drive the vehicle for a short distance (about 10 minutes) at speeds above 30 mph to allow the system to recalibrate.
