Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool before starting work.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake hose connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  2. Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and surrounding area.
  3. Reattach the air intake hose securely.
3. Replace Spark Plugs
  1. Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  2. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors and remove the coils using a socket set.
  3. Unscrew the old spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
  4. Install new spark plugs to the manufacturer's specified torque (typically 13-15 lb-ft).
  5. Reinstall the ignition coils and reconnect the connectors.
4. Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter
  1. Locate the fuel filter (refer to the owner's manual for exact location).
  2. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  3. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using appropriate line wrenches.
  4. Install the new fuel filter, ensuring proper orientation and tight connections.
5. Check and Clean the MAF Sensor
  1. Disconnect the MAF sensor connector.
  2. Remove the MAF sensor from the air intake duct.
  3. Spray MAF cleaner onto the sensor elements (do not touch them).
  4. Allow the sensor to dry and reinstall it.
