Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: battery terminal cleaner, multimeter, jumper cables.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-ventilated area.
  • Wear safety gloves and goggles.
2. Jump-Start the Vehicle
  1. Position a functioning vehicle close enough for the jumper cables to reach both batteries.
  2. Turn off both vehicles and ensure that all electrical accessories are off.
  3. Connect one end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery.
  4. Connect the other end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the working battery.
  5. Connect one end of the black jumper cable to the negative terminal of the working battery.
  6. Connect the other end of the black jumper cable to an unpainted metal surface on the dead vehicle (not the negative terminal).
  7. Start the working vehicle and allow it to run for a few minutes before attempting to start the dead vehicle.
3. Battery Replacement (if necessary)
  1. Turn off both vehicles and disconnect the jumper cables in reverse order.
  2. Remove the negative terminal from the dead battery using a wrench.
  3. Remove the positive terminal from the dead battery.
  4. Unscrew any mounting brackets or clamps holding the battery in place.
  5. Carefully lift the old battery out of the vehicle.
  6. Place the new battery in the battery tray and secure it with brackets.
  7. Connect the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal.
  8. Ensure all connections are tight and free of corrosion.
