Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Needed: None required, but a flashlight may be helpful.
  • Ensure the engine is completely cool to prevent burns.
2. Locate the Coolant Reservoir
  • Open the hood of the vehicle using the hood release lever.
  • Secure the hood with the prop rod.
  • Identify the coolant reservoir; it is typically a translucent plastic tank located near the radiator.
3. Check Coolant Level
  • Look for the minimum and maximum level indicators on the side of the coolant reservoir.
  • If the coolant is below the minimum level, you will need to add coolant.
4. Add Coolant (if necessary)
  • Remove the cap of the coolant reservoir by turning it counter-clockwise.
  • Using a funnel, pour the appropriate coolant mixture (typically a 50:50 mix of coolant and distilled water) into the reservoir until it reaches the maximum level.
  • Replace the cap securely by turning it clockwise.
5. Final Check
  • Ensure all tools are removed from the engine bay.
  • Close the hood securely.
