Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, new CR2032 battery (or applicable type)
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, stationary position and turned off before proceeding.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Locate the small slot on the edge of the key fob.
  2. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the fob casing.
  3. Carefully remove the old battery, taking note of the orientation.
  4. Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  5. Snap the key fob casing back together until it clicks securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn to the "On" position (do not start).
  3. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for approximately 20 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition off and then back to "On" again.
  5. Repeat the process for any additional key fobs that need programming.
4. Inspect Receiver Module
  1. Access the vehicle’s receiver module, typically located under the dashboard or near the fuse box.
  2. Check for any loose connections or damaged wiring.
  3. If necessary, reconnect any loose wires or replace the module if damage is found.
