Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner (if required), a second working key fob (if available).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in park and the engine is off.
  • Have replacement batteries available for the key fob if needed.
2. Enter Programming Mode
  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  2. Press the brake pedal and turn the ignition to the "Off" position.
  3. Repeat this process (turning to "On" and "Off") three times, ending with the ignition in the "On" position.
  4. Wait for the security indicator light to stop flashing, indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.
3. Program the Key Fob
  1. Press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on the key fob simultaneously for approximately 14 seconds.
  2. Release both buttons and then press the "Lock" button again. The locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.
  3. If programming multiple key fobs, repeat this process for each additional fob.
4. Exit Programming Mode
  1. Turn the ignition to the "Off" position to exit programming mode.
  2. Test the newly programmed key fob to ensure all functions are working correctly.
