Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver or coin, and a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are working in a well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Insert a flathead screwdriver or a coin into the seam and gently twist to pry the fob open, starting at one end and working your way around.
  • Be cautious to avoid damaging the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once opened, locate the battery compartment.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side up).
  • Carefully remove the old battery using your fingers or a plastic tool to prevent short-circuiting.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old battery (positive side up).
  • Press down gently until the battery is securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap back into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps indicating that the fob is not fully closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand within a reasonable distance from the vehicle and test all functions of the key fob (lock, unlock, panic button).
  • Confirm that the key fob is functioning properly.
