Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Replace Headlight Bulbs
  • Remove the headlight assembly:
    • Unscrew any retaining screws and pull the assembly out.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the bulb.
  • Remove the bulb by twisting it counterclockwise and replace with a new bulb.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector and position the headlight assembly back into place.
3. Check and Replace Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box under the dashboard or in the engine compartment.
  • Identify the high beam fuse using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  • Remove the fuse and visually inspect it for any breaks in the filament.
  • If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage rating (usually 15A).
  • Reinstall the fuse and close the fuse box.
4. Repair or Replace Wiring
  • Conduct a visual inspection of the wiring harness:
    • Look for frayed wires, loose connections, or signs of corrosion.
  • If damage is found, repair the wiring using solder and heat shrink tubing or replace the damaged section.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion.
5. Test the Headlight Switch
  • Remove the steering column cover to access the headlight switch.
  • Use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity when toggled between settings.
  • If defective, replace the headlight switch:
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Unscrew the switch from its mounting position and replace it with a new unit.
