my Genesis G70 defroster is not working properly what's the issue

Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather all necessary tools and parts.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.

2. Replace Cabin Air Filter

• Remove the glove compartment by unscrewing the screws and detaching it from the clips.
• Locate the cabin air filter housing and open it.
• Remove the old cabin air filter and install the new one, ensuring proper orientation.
• Reattach the glove compartment securely.

3. Check and Replace Blower Motor (if faulty)

• Remove the blower motor cover located under the dashboard.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
• Unscrew the blower motor from its housing and remove it.
• Install the new blower motor by reversing the removal steps and reconnecting the electrical connector.

4. Inspect and Clean Heater Core (if necessary)

• Drain the coolant from the radiator.
• Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.
• Use a hose to flush the heater core with water to remove any blockages.
• Reconnect the heater hoses and refill the cooling system with the appropriate coolant mixture.
