Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Wear safety gloves and goggles.

Tools Required:

  • Socket set
  • Wire brush or terminal cleaner
  • Multimeter
  • Torque wrench
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Use a socket wrench to loosen the negative (-) terminal first, then remove it.
  • Follow by loosening the positive (+) terminal and removing it as well.
3. Clean Battery Terminals
  • Inspect the battery terminals for corrosion. If present, use a wire brush or terminal cleaner to remove it.
  • Clean the battery post and terminal until shiny to ensure a good connection.
4. Reconnect Battery
  • Reattach the positive (+) terminal first and tighten it using a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specifications (typically around 10-12 Nm).
  • Follow with the negative (-) terminal, tightening it as well.
5. Verify Connection
  • Gently shake the battery cables to ensure they are secure and not loose.
  • Reconnect any additional wiring harnesses if applicable.
