Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools: socket set, torque wrench, jack stands, and a pry bar.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
2. Inspect and Replace Worn Components
  • Shock Absorbers/Struts Replacement:

    1. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels.
    2. Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    3. Remove the front wheels to access the suspension components.
    4. Unbolt the top and bottom of the shock absorber/strut using the socket set.
    5. Remove the shock absorber and replace it with a new one.
    6. Torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications (refer to the service manual).
  • Sway Bar Link Replacement:

    1. Inspect sway bar links for any signs of damage.
    2. Use a socket wrench to unbolt the sway bar links from both the sway bar and the lower control arm.
    3. Install new sway bar links and torque them to the specified values.
3. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the front wheels and tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern.
  • Lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Conduct a test drive to confirm that the clunking noise has been resolved.
