Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, new key fob battery (CR2032 or as specified in manual), and a clean workspace.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure position.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Carefully remove the old battery, noting the orientation of the positive and negative sides.
  3. Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together until it is securely closed.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press the "Unlock" button on the key fob, then turn the key to "Off" and back to "On" twice quickly.
  4. Press the "Unlock" button again on the key fob; the locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.
  5. Turn the ignition to "Off" and remove the key.
