Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools required: Phillips screwdriver, small flathead screwdriver, and a new battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and in a safe location.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing at the designated notch or seam.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the fob without damaging the internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob, noting the orientation.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the fob, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Ensure that the battery is seated properly in its compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap securely.
  • Ensure there are no gaps in the casing which could indicate improper sealing.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter the vehicle with the key fob and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Press any button on the key fob to initiate the programming mode.
  • Turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it.
  • Test the key fob to ensure it is functioning correctly.
