Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the replacement.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical shock.
2. Access the Headlight Assembly
  • Open the hood of the Mustang.
  • Locate the headlight assembly, which is situated at the front of the vehicle.
  • Remove any plastic covers or clips that may be obstructing access to the bulb.
3. Remove the Old Bulb
  • Locate the headlight bulb socket at the rear of the headlight assembly.
  • Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to release it from the assembly.
  • Carefully pull the old bulb straight out of the socket, avoiding any contact with the glass.
4. Install the New Bulb
  • Take the new headlight bulb (H11 for low beam, 9005 for high beam) by the base—do not touch the glass with your fingers.
  • Insert the new bulb into the socket and ensure it is seated properly.
  • Turn the bulb socket clockwise to secure it back into the headlight assembly.
5. Reassemble the Headlight Assembly
  • Replace any plastic covers or clips removed previously.
  • Ensure all components are secured and properly aligned.
6. Reconnect the Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Close the hood of the vehicle.
