Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a floor jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
    • Tools Required: Floor jack, jack stands
3. Remove the Wheel
  • Using a socket set, remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel to access the struts.
    • Tools Required: Socket set, lug wrench
4. Remove the Strut Assembly
  • Disconnect any brake line brackets or sensors attached to the strut.
  • Remove the lower strut bolts and the upper strut mount bolts.
  • Carefully take out the strut assembly from the vehicle.
5. Install New Strut Assembly
  • Position the new strut assembly in place.
  • Reattach the upper strut mount bolts and lower strut bolts. Torque to manufacturer's specifications (usually around 70-90 ft-lbs for lower bolts; check specific specifications).
  • Reconnect any brake line brackets or sensors.
6. Reattach the Wheel
  • Place the wheel back on and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specifications (typically 100-150 ft-lbs).
7. Final Checks
  • Inspect all connections for security and ensure no tools are left under the vehicle.
  • Test drive to confirm proper installation and ride quality.
