Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: multimeter, socket set, wrench set, battery terminal cleaner, and safety goggles.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in park or neutral and the parking brake is engaged.
2. Battery Inspection and Replacement
  • Check Battery Health

    • Remove the battery cables, starting with the negative (-) terminal.
    • Clean the terminals using a battery terminal cleaner.
    • Reconnect and check voltage again; if below 12.4V, proceed to replacement.
  • Replace Battery (if necessary)

    • Use a socket set to remove the battery hold-down clamp.
    • Lift out the old battery and place the new battery in the tray.
    • Reattach the hold-down clamp and connect the positive (+) terminal first, followed by the negative (-) terminal.
3. Starter and Relay Testing
  • Starter Relay

    • Locate the starter relay in the fuse box.
    • Remove the relay and swap it with a similar relay to test if the starter engages.
  • Starter Replacement (if necessary)

    • Disconnect the battery.
    • Remove the starter by unscrewing the bolts with a socket set.
    • Disconnect the wiring harness from the starter.
    • Install the new starter by reversing the removal steps and ensuring all connections are tight.
