Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, multimeter, dielectric grease, ignition coil puller (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off and cool.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shock.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Sub-steps:
    • Remove any screws or bolts securing the engine cover.
    • Carefully lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Remove Ignition Coil
  • Sub-steps:
    • Locate the ignition coil(s) based on the diagnostic results.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil by pressing the tab and pulling it off.
    • Remove the bolt or clip securing the ignition coil to the engine.
    • Carefully pull the ignition coil straight out of the spark plug well. Use an ignition coil puller if necessary to avoid damage.
4. Install New Ignition Coil
  • Sub-steps:
    • Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of the ignition coil boot to ensure a good seal and improve future removal.
    • Insert the new ignition coil into the spark plug well, ensuring it seats properly.
    • Secure the ignition coil with the bolt or clip.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector, ensuring it clicks into place.
5. Reinstall Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Sub-steps:
    • Position the engine cover back onto the engine.
    • Secure it with the screws or bolts previously removed.
6. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery and ensure it is tightened properly.
