  • Lift the ignition coil straight up to avoid damaging the spark plug.
• Remove the spark plug:
  • Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the spark plug from the cylinder head.
• Install the new spark plug:
  • Apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plug.
  • Hand-tighten the spark plug into the cylinder head, then use a torque wrench to tighten it to the manufacturer’s specification (typically 13-15 lb-ft).
• Reinstall the ignition coil:
