Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues while working.
2. Clean or Replace the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Socket set, cleaning solvent, rags.
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using the socket set.
  • Use a throttle body cleaner and a rag to clean the inside of the throttle body thoroughly.
  • If the throttle body is damaged, replace it with a new one and reconnect the air intake duct securely.
3. Inspect and Clean the Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve
  • Tools Required: Socket set, IAC cleaner.
  • Locate the IAC valve on the throttle body.
  • Remove the IAC valve using the socket set.
  • Clean the valve using an IAC cleaner and a rag. Inspect for damage; replace if necessary.
  • Reinstall the IAC valve and reconnect any electrical connectors.
4. Test and Adjust Fuel Pressure
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge.
  • Locate the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail.
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge and turn the ignition to the "on" position (do not start the engine).
  • Check the fuel pressure reading; it should be within the manufacturer’s specified range.
  • If pressure is low, inspect the fuel pump and filter for blockages or failures.
5. Inspect Spark Plugs and Ignition System
  • Tools Required: Socket set, spark plug socket.
  • Remove the spark plugs using the spark plug socket.
  • Inspect for wear, carbon fouling, or damage. Replace any faulty spark plugs.
  • Check the ignition coils for proper function and replace if necessary.
