Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, new key fob battery (CR2032 or as specified).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in park and the ignition is off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob:

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
    • Be careful not to damage the casing or internal components.
  2. Remove Old Battery:

    • Take out the old battery from the key fob; note the orientation of the battery for the new one.
  3. Install New Battery:

    • Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one (positive side facing up).
  4. Reassemble Key Fob:

    • Snap the key fob casing back together until it clicks securely.
3. Program the Key Fob (If Necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • With the key in the ignition, turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine) and back to "Off" five times within 10 seconds. Leave the key in the "Off" position on the fifth turn.
  2. Confirm Programming Mode:

    • The locks should cycle, indicating programming mode is activated.
  3. Program the Key Fob:

    • Press any button on the key fob within 30 seconds. The locks will cycle again to confirm programming.
  4. Exit Programming Mode:

    • Turn the ignition to "On" to exit programming mode. Test the key fob for functionality.
