Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
  • Allow the engine to cool down if it was recently running.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Using throttle body cleaner, spray the inside of the throttle body while opening the throttle plate manually.
  • Wipe away carbon buildup with a clean, lint-free cloth.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace the Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing and open it by releasing the clips or screws.
  • Remove the old air filter and inspect for dirt and debris.
  • Install a new, clean air filter, ensuring it fits snugly in the housing.
  • Close and secure the air filter housing.
4. Test and Replace the Throttle Position Sensor (if necessary)
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the throttle position sensor.
  • Using a multimeter, check the voltage output while moving the throttle pedal.
  • If output is inconsistent or out of specifications, replace the TPS with a new unit.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness securely.
5. Fuel System Inspection
  • Locate the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail.
  • Use a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure; it should be within manufacturer specifications.
  • If low, replace the fuel filter and inspect the fuel pump for proper operation.
