B. Replace Valve Cover Gasket

  1. Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, scraper, new valve cover gasket, RTV sealant.
  2. Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  3. Unscrew the valve cover bolts and carefully lift the valve cover.
  4. Remove the old gasket and clean the mating surfaces with a scraper.
  5. Place the new gasket on the valve cover and apply RTV sealant if required.
  6. Reinstall the valve cover and torque the bolts to manufacturer specifications.
3. Inspect and Repair Oil Pressure Sending Unit
  1. Tools Required: Wrench set, new oil pressure sending unit.
  2. Locate the oil pressure sending unit (typically near the oil filter).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sending unit.
  4. Use a wrench to remove the sending unit.
