Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, fuel line removal tool, OBD-II scanner, multimeter, clean rags.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Remove any clips or fasteners securing the engine cover.
  • Lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Tools Required: Socket set.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail using a fuel line removal tool.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Remove the bolts securing the fuel rail to the engine and carefully lift the fuel rail with the injectors attached.
4. Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Tools Required: Torque wrench.
  • Remove the old fuel injectors from the fuel rail by pulling them straight out.
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of the new injectors for easier installation.
  • Insert the new fuel injectors into the fuel rail until they are fully seated.
5. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Align the fuel rail with the intake manifold and carefully lower it into position.
  • Secure the fuel rail with the bolts, tightening them to the manufacturer’s specified torque values.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each injector and reattach the fuel lines to the fuel rail.
6. Reinstall Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Position the engine cover back on and secure it with the clips or fasteners.
7. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the injectors and fuel rail.
