Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools including a small flat-head screwdriver, a new battery (CR2032), and a multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing at the seam.
  • Carefully separate the two halves without damaging the clips.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob housing.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Reassemble the key fob by snapping the two halves back together securely.
4. Reprogram the Key Fob
  • Enter the vehicle with the key fob and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine) and then back to "Off."
  • Remove the key from the ignition.
  • Within 10 seconds, open and close the driver's door three times, then insert the key back in the ignition and turn to "On" again.
  • Press any button on the key fob to complete the programming process. The locks should cycle to confirm successful programming.
5. Test Key Fob Functionality
  • Step outside the vehicle and test the key fob by locking and unlocking the doors.
