Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and replacement parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Safety warning: Ensure the vehicle is in park and the parking brake is engaged.
2. Check and Adjust Tire Pressure
  1. Remove the valve stem caps from each tire.
  2. Attach the tire pressure gauge to the valve stem and check the pressure.
  3. Inflate the tires to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure (found on the driver’s side door jamb).
    • Use an air compressor to add air as needed.
  4. Replace the valve stem caps securely after checking each tire.
3. Inspect and Replace TPMS Sensors (if necessary)
  1. Remove the tire from the wheel:
    • Loosen the lug nuts with a socket wrench.
    • Lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    • Remove the lug nuts and take off the tire.
  2. Access the TPMS sensor:
    • Locate the sensor on the inside of the wheel.
    • Remove the sensor carefully as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Replace with a new TPMS sensor if the old one is defective.
    • Install the new sensor and ensure it's secured properly.
  4. Reinstall the tire:
    • Place the tire back on the wheel hub.
    • Hand-tighten the lug nuts, then lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specifications.
4. Reset the TPMS Light
  1. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  2. Press the gas pedal three times within 10 seconds.
  3. The TPMS light should flash and then turn off, indicating a successful reset.
