Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, replacement battery (typically CR2032), and a soft cloth to avoid scratching surfaces.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure area and that all doors are closed.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the flathead screwdriver to pry open the key fob casing carefully.
  2. Remove the old battery, noting the orientation of the positive (+) and negative (-) sides.
  3. Insert the new battery in the same orientation.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  1. Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press the "Lock" button on the key fob within 5 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition to "Off" and back to "On" two more times, ending in the "On" position.
  5. Press the "Lock" button again on the key fob to confirm the programming.
  6. Turn the ignition to "Off" to exit programming mode.
