Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools including a flathead screwdriver, multimeter, and replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure environment and the ignition is off.
2. Battery Replacement
  • Remove the Key Fob Cover:

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob cover at the designated notch without damaging the casing.
  • Replace the Battery:

    • Remove the old battery from the fob and dispose of it properly.
    • Insert the new CR2032 battery with the "+" side facing up.
  • Reassemble the Key Fob:

    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until you hear a click indicating they are securely closed.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter Programming Mode:

    • Sit in the vehicle with all doors closed and unlocked.
    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it from OFF to RUN eight times within ten seconds, ending in the RUN position. The locks should cycle to confirm entry into programming mode.
  • Program the Key Fob:

    • Press any button on the key fob within 20 seconds. The locks should cycle again.
    • Repeat for additional key fobs if necessary.
4. Test the Key Fob
  • Step outside the vehicle and test the key fob functions (lock and unlock doors, start the engine).
