Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, CR2032 battery (or compatible), OBD-II scanner (if needed).
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side faces upwards.
  • Snap the key fob casing back together.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'On' position (do not start the engine).
  • Cycle the key from 'Off' to 'On' eight times within 10 seconds. The doors will lock and unlock to indicate programming mode.
  • Press any button on the key fob within 20 seconds to program it.
  • Turn the ignition to 'Off' to exit programming mode.
