Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and a new CR2032 battery (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location, with no distractions.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery from the key fob.
  3. Insert the new CR2032 battery into the fob with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together until it clicks securely.
3. Reset Key Fob
  1. Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. (Do this for about 5 seconds.)
  3. Turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition.
  4. Press any button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  5. Re-insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position again.
